Has anybody seen this?

That is crazy. Don't know what sort of programs they would have used, but I'm wondering 'how' they did it.

My guess is one shot is of the main action, the man sitting. Then we have a second shot of this dummy head (blue or green) that can actually do these things (move the ear, remove the mouth, etc... then either the camera is in the same shot as the blue or a separate shot), and then the hands moving everything would also be with the dummy head.

That's my guess. Cause I can't figure it out...

Wow, thats pretty nuts. I'm assuming it was something like Jon said. Probably hours of After Effects making mattes, etc., along with Green-screening, probably a 3d program, and some motion-tracking software and possibly a dummy head as well. Really cool though! I only wish I had the capabilities to pull something like that off...

I can kind of see it now that you mention the dummy head. Either way, It has style and substance.

Plus the arms look like they're a bit off and free (I think it's supposed to be the guys arms as the sleve is the same as the shirt) while the body doesnt move very much.

Still amazing.

Do they actually use after effects for this sort of thing? I assumed some sort of more advanced 3D compositing software would be used.

edit: There were times when the motion tracking was a bit sloppy on the mouth area.

After watching it again, I'm almost positive they used an After Effects-like program. Once his face is completly "opened up" if you look close it looks like you can see a faint line where it looks like they composited from his lower forehead to the bridge of his nose and to about his temples on the side. (Look for what is moving on the face, and what isn't)

Either way they would have had to do some pretty impressive motion tracking and a lot more 3d/after effects-type stuff to it, but it looks like the main part of it is a dummy head with the area around his eyes composited onto it. And I doubt the "dummy head" or whatever it is had that projector built into it, they probably used 3d software to put that into the head.

Obviously it was probably more complicated than that, but I think that's the basic idea... I'm no pro or anything, but if I had the technology and the exact "know-how" that's probably how I would have done it. Very original though, I like it.
