Any fans here?

I just recently watched all 5 previous films... and think they got better pretty much every time... very entertaining... I'll be at Half Blood Prince tomorrow night

Ever since the one-before-last (ending with Diggory's death) I've *really* been sucked in.

Maybe because the war is getting rolling and the stories have become so much darker. That's my kind of stuff...the earlier ones seemed unfocused and what's-the-point...plus Voldemort was kind of this hapless Wiley Coyote-ish villain. *Now* he comes off like a badass...

Loved the books, loved almost all the movies. I found that the last one was a real hack job though, so shortened that unless you'd read the books you would have a hard time following it all. They really should have split it into two films, or done a Peter Jackson and made it over three hours.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new one!

Ciao,

^ that's funny; having not read the books I find the later films much more comprehensible, than the earlier ones...

I hated the last one. The story just spent the entire time running in place. I felt like I was waiting the entire time for something to happen, and nothing ever did. I think I liked Azkaban the best, but truth be told Harry Potter never did much for me. They are kind of like Scooby Doo stories at the end of the day.

Half-Blood was just boring, I waited for a battle that didn't come. And major change that I did not like. I think Azkaban and Goblet have been the best so far.

Man, I loved this one! Best film yet and extremely well made! Had a great opening and ending. Very good cliff hanger. Reminded me of the LOTR cliff hangers.

I really enjoyed all the films, right from the beginning. They are just so rich, the world has so many details- like the moving pictures in the papers, the talking paintings... nothing is mundane. Even the characters aren't necessarily what they seem. The scores are very grand as well, just adding to the depth of the film.

Harry Potter movies, while not my favorite style, have always entertained me.

Production design and cinematography are always great.. however, what I hate is when I'm reminded that the film is made for a younger audience. It seems like every joke or moment has at least 3 punchlines or payoffs so that the slower people can understand it.

I'm pretty excited for the last one. I haven't read the books so I'm probably one of the last people left on earth who hasn't had it spoiled.

It felt very much a middle movie. The tone just keeps getting darker and darker, which I appreciate, and this is the first time that Draco Malfoy has been much more than a vaguely irritating waste of screen space.

It didn't particularly feel like it was going anywhere, though, except linking what's happened with (hopefully) something more climactic that's going to happen.

And (re: the final minutes of the film)...so, what do wizards do, at the end of rock concerts...?

Great film. My favorite of the series. Sad, disturbing, suspenseful, and poignant.
