Just watched it tonight -- I think it was the best so far.

The DVD, however, sucked. The compression was awful, even in the menu screens. The sound mix was lackluster. And no extras.

yeah, they keep getting better.

i did however get really confused in the begining...there was that whole build up in the begining just before that big quiddage match...the whole opening was about them traveling to the match...thousands of people...then, just when it starts and the old dude goes "let the games begin" or something like that...we cut to the kids in a tent goofing off...it threw me allot, it felt like a huge jump cut, i even skiped back through the chapters multiple times to see if maybe the dvd skiped, i even took it out of the dvd player and stuck it in my laptop to see what the deal was...

anyway, that was the only thing i did not like in this one. great movie otherwise.

Yeah I thought it was pretty good. I think if they gave the running time 20 or 30 minutes more they could have made it twice as good and much closer to the actual plot of the book. They cut out A LOT of important scenes from the book and Daniel Radcliffe's acting doesnt do it for me either. Other than that, yeah it was entertaining.

It was a huge jump cut, but in some ways I admire Mike Newell for doing it. I mean the Quiddich match was a huge part of the beginning of the book, but it has very little to do with the overall story. To be willing to say "It's out of here." took a certain amount of courage, I think.

I was completely on the "Goblet of Fire is the best so far" bandwagon walking out of the theaters, but watching it again on DVD, I'm not so sure. It makes me fear for the rest of the films given that the books just keep getting bigger and bigger.

there must have been a more gracefull way of doing it though...

like one great opening shot of the match...something amazing, then let it go to the after game with the kids going on about it.

but, i really did enjoy it anyway...so whateva...

I saw the first 2. Liked the first one...hated the 2nd. Lost interest for the last 2. My mom sent a copy of the 4th one. I watched it last night. The visuals are so very cool, but by missing the 3rd, I didn't know what the hell was going on. I was confused. When I get confused, or bored, I start cutting wholes in the movie. The biggest one, and it sucks to say this, is the kid playing Harry. I just don't think he is a good actor.
Go ahead...flame me.
