Hard drives

Hi all,
I'm not sure it's the right place but it seems you have this knowledge so I'l try:

I'm considering buying 3 disks of 2TB each for FCP editing of Sony EX1 material. Low budget, I loot at the following:

Hitachi Deskstar 7K2000 SATA II - 2.0 TB

Seagate Barracuda LP SATA II - 2.0 TB

WD Caviar Green SATA II - 2.0 TB

all 32 MG cache.

They are all at ascending order of price,

I wanted to know if there are any recommendations and/or if experience tell some tend to fail.

10x for the attention.

Both the Seagate and WD have RPM inconsistencies. That is the best way I know to say it. They are not 7200 RPM, at least not all the time. Since you are looking at internal drives I recommend going with something that is at least 7200 RPM "all the time". In my tests the Green WD are slower in read/write then the Black WD. Tests done on Mac Pro with Xbench. If you are not earning money from video and/or are never gonna deal with HD footage or Multiclip the cheapest you can find will suffice. If you are paying your bills with video then do not skimp on hard drives.
