We have been up and working for 2 hours so far in prep for 15 family and friends coming over tonight...

Our house isn't big enough for 15 people.

Either way, I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and get to spend it with those who mean most to you.

I just found out that my cake mixer has gone AWOL, so I will be making mashed potatoes the old fashioned way, by actually mashing them.

Cooking a turkey for the first time today....my wife and I are having our first thanksgiving in our new home. Pretty exciting ... for us anyhow.

Son has to drive back to San Jose, so we are having Thanksgiving brunch buffet at the Marriot, woo, no mess to clean.
 
Okay, everything's just about done. I just started watching Space: Above and Beyond, possibly the best television program that never made it. Sad Max gave me some good insight to the real reason some programs such as this fail...f*cking executives. :furious3:

The company is watching Live Free or Die Hard, and I'm just not in the mood.

I like how Thanksgiving is when we're supposed to be thankful for what we have, and the day after is the biggest shopping day of the year. Ironic.
