Hand Machined Slider Legs

Well time for another of my pieces of work.

A friend of mine approached me with his slider and said that he couldnt get it close enough to the ground being mounted on the tripod. He wanted some low profile support for the slider to sit on the ground. The following is what i designed. The Legs are spring loaded and snap into both directions. - I also added bump stops on the ends. He took his kit to Africa and came back with rave reviews and i just finished another for a customer.

I am looking to see if there is any interest in a kit for this type of slider to add these legs and bump stops without any modification to the actual slider. (i understand this is a very popular slider) I have a design laid out for such a thing. - I would sell said kit for around $125.

On to the photos

I think it would only be interesting if each of the contact point with ground is adjustable in height.
You don't often have a smooth surface (as a table) and have to adjust the feet.

Good job! Many have the Igus rails, and many want feed for it - but as furieux said, they should be height adjustable. For low shots you can use two simple blocks of (polished) wood, maybe 2 inches high at each end of the slider (just saying, that getting some kind of feet isn´t that difficult). :cheesy:

Your prototype looks like you know what you're doing, so if you can come up with sth that fits the Igus and is height adjustable - I´m in! (if you'd sell the feet separately too, that is...)

+1 on the height and seperate level adjustment on the feet, maybe a bolt than can be used with a ratcheting wrench.
