Halloween Horror Nights short film competition

[Tom Marshall]

I just saw a commercial on TV. It's for a short film contest. The website is http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/chiller

From the website:

Chiller and Universal Studios HollywoodSM are partnering to recognize the nation’s top short-form filmmaking horror genre talent.

Filmmakers have an opportunity to have their scariest short film rewarded with a TV broadcast of their work, a $1,000 cash prize and a trip for two to the October 2, 2009 opening night of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood

Submit your short film (90 seconds to 3 minutes) by sending 2 DVD copies to arrive by August 21, 2009 to:

Halloween Horror Nights-Chiller Scary Good Film Competition
100 Universal City Plaza
Building 5511-5 (Publicity)
Universal City CA 91608

Selected films will be judged by a panel of horror industry professionals. Criteria will be storytelling skill, originality and the degree of the "good scare." The judges' top 10 shorts will be posted here in September for public voting.

Might be worth entering.
