Half-way there.

I'm buying a DVX, and like - I only have half the amount of money I need. See, I only work part time. and I go to school. Sad life - huh :(

So, you should now tell me ways I can rob hard working people blind.

Don't be so greedy. Work and Save for what you wan't and aquire as you go. First get the camera and then get an NLE. Then you're good to go.

Yeah the whole Part Time School / Work thing? "Waaa"

get mom to sign a signature loan.......not that I did that or anything.......ummm.......yeah.

Actually I wouldn't condone a loan, I'm still paying for my DVX. its not the best way to go.

Just save and then get the camera. its worth the wait to be debt free.

You know what I did? I just simply asked one of my rich friends to buy one and he did. Doesn't hurt to ask...... But I do have like this nasty rash....

I did it the simple way. I joined the Army, got out and became a DoD civilian here in Germany, let the Gov underpay me on my rent for 5 years, then put in a claim for it.

It was SO nice getting an $11,000 paycheck that week.

id second what john H. said .. im working my bottom off right now.. my dvx is payed for, and the money for an HVX and all that jazz is set aside already, but theres some other considerably larger purchases and life type changes coming up for me.. and im putting in about 12-16 hour days getting about 3-4 hours of sleep a night to make it all happen. i had a friend over the other night watch a movie with me and my wife after a shoot, and I fell asleep during the first 10 min of the movie. im tired as all heck, but im looking ahead and smiling. if you want something in life youve got to make it happen.

[In my best grumpy old man]

That's right! We, as a nation, are such wimps compared to our forefathers. Can you imagine growing up in the 1930's? Those people could kick our asses and teach us how to save money in one fell swoop.

We'd all be like, "Whaaaa! I want the latest and greatest." and they'd all be like, "F@#k you, Richie Rich!... **BOOM!**... Consider that a penalty for early withdrawal.".

That's right! In my day, if you wanted to buy the best from Sears & Roebuck, then you saved your pennies until you had enough to saddle your pony. We were ignorant, black-eyed, penniless, bareback pony riding fools. That's the way it was and we liked it!

I feel your pain.... I'm in the same boat but just different context. Selling my house, fixing up current house, building a new one, working full time, father of three youngins. need sleep.
