Hairspray

[Brandon Rice]

I didn't see a thread for it, so I figured I'd start one... Just came back from seeing it.... Ok, so I'm a sucker for musicals with catchy music, and this is one of them! I thought not only were the songs catchy but it was a wonderfully shot and cast piece... the story, kind of shallow, but who cares... go have two hours of toe tappin' fun! You'll have a smile on your face... it's a great bunch of fun! :2vrolijk_08:

[Phil Maker]

It was definitely not one of the best musicals I've seen. Not even Travolta's best. Not even the best of the year. Dreamgirls blew it away. Go see The Simpsons instead. It'll be way funnier and I bet they'll have better musical numbers too.

OK... I think this movie is Super FUN! I saw it again tonight! HAHA

Wow Brandon. Twice? Must be pretty entertaining.

I have this visual of Brandon sitting in the theater as most people are relatively straight-faced, and Brandon is cracking up and snacking on popcorn.

I was bored to tears by Dreamgirls.

Dream Girls was so much better as a musical, and film.

Very entertaining. Great story too.

:cheesy:

I can do a musical if it's cool

Fiddler on the Roof, Grease, Wizard of Oz, Caberet but yeah, most make my ass project entrails that are inflamed and requiring nurture

Musicals? Look no further:

(and, for those in NY, it's now a massive hit Broadway musical!)

[Blaine]

It looks about as interesting as Steel Magnolias.

That's the original film, right? If so, yes, I've seen a little of it... not the entire thing... wasn't really into it... I really dug this version though!

Saw it again tonight... call me an addict

Don't worry, Bourne 3 comes out Friday, haha

Finally caught this. My kids have been watching it. At first I just popped in to see a scene or two, and my expectations were pretty low. But the more I watched it, the more I liked it. Great talent all around. A very fun film.
