Hacked gh2 mts files causing Vegas 12 to crash

I have about 100 gigs of hacked gh2 mts files which edited fine for a few hours, but now everytime I play a clip in the project on the timeline the video will freeze and vegas will "not respond" until I force quit. I CAN edit AF100 MTS files all day with no problem. Any ideas guys? I have a deadline on this project and I can't do jack. Tried Vegas 11 and the same thing happens. These gh2 files are pretty massive could that be a problem? I'm working on a windows 7 quad core system with 16 gb's of RAM.

I don't know if this may help, but have you tried to convert your files into a more workable format?

Yeah, it does sound like your hacked files have some dodgy control info in them somewhere. Pumping them through a file converter (perhaps even Vegas itself) to create 'vanilla' files may be the best solution.
