H4n questions... SD cards and input levels

Hi guys,
Just have two questions in relation to the Zoom H4n if anybody can help me with them;

1) Does it matter what type of SD card class is used for saving the audio files on the H4n? Would a class 2 SD card be ok to use or would I need a class 4?

2) What is the desired level of input on the H4n when recording dialog? I get nice clean audio when the input level reads between -24db and -12db. Would that be the best level?

Average speech levels around -10 to -12 dBFS is just about right.
