H.264 and Quicktime

I have some movies done in MPEG4 AVC (H.264) with Sorenson Squeeze 4.1 who play very well with VLC player. Today, I upgraded to Quicktime 7.1 pro and I can't play those movies, a blank image with only the sound is playing.

Anybody had this problem before. Thanks for your help.

I think the problem is that I did my compression with the Sorenson Squeeze 4.0 version, they probably fixed the problem with the new update 4.1. I did a test and I had no problem at all with a new compression in 4.1. :)

The sorenson people are probably saving their income for retirement, unless their flips4mac will be a great hit. As soon as Quicktime 7 is out on the PC I will se no reason to use Squeeze.

I see a reason...

The Sorenson 3 codec remains one of the best out there. If you mean that you see no reason for the Squeeze software, okay that I can see. (I have Squeeze, and it works very well, but it's just a front end for their Sorenson 3 Pro codec frankly.)

Until everyone has a machine that can playback H.264 reliably (it needs a lot of CPU power!) then Sorenson 3 will be king.

Why do you think all the Trailers at Apple are still done using Sorenson codec? (Okay, yes, there are some HD trailers done in H.264, but you need a fast G5 to play them!)
