Hähnel Mk100 Uni-Directional Microphone

It 'looks' nice. I love the blue iso rings. Do they cost extra.. and can I get them in different colors?
Not even a $20,000 on-camera mic will sound any good (aside from ambient sound) unless it's correctly placed in close proximity to the sound source.

No sound samples or specs in their promo video ... kinda suspicious. Looks like a Rode Videomic clone for the most part, although that shock mount is unique and might have possibilities. The mounting bands on the Videomic Pro have been a source of consternation for many users.

I owned a Hähnel super 8 film splicer back in the late '70s -- it was a nicely made piece of equipment. Haven't heard anything from the company since then.
