Gun Shot Audio Library?

[Scott Talbot]

Hey everyone,

So I'm looking for the audio of a high powered pistol gun shot outside. With a somewhat long echo. Like it was shot in a valley.

The specific gun is a Smith and Wesson 357 magnum. But I'm not too picky.

Thanks!

The Hollywood Edge and Sound Ideas libraries have some good gunshots!

+1 on the hollywood edge and sound ideas. The final cut studio came with a bunch of samples, try looking for something with a "ring off".

Hollywood Edge has a .357 magnum shot on it, and they distributed it on a free CD so you may be able to find a free version of it floating around.

The Dynamic Range collection from Sonic Boom is the go to library

Since you only need one I would look on Sound Dogs because you can buy the sounds singly instead of paying for the whole library.

Also I would look for a cleaner recording and add the reverb/ room etc so it actually matches the rest of the scene.

for guns, I really like Ultimate Weapon.
