My wife tells me that I just received a Certificate of Excellence in Design award from the Art Directors' Guild, for work on Avatar (apparently the wheels grind fine but exceeding slow...)

Another piece of paper for the office wall.

And I'm feeling a tingling sensation that suggests my rate is about to go up.

Okay, first, he's made a mod. Now this????? Someone is not going to be able to fit their head through a doorway soon.

Sheesh, some guys get all the luck!!!! (J/K!!!! I know you worked hard to be where you are. I am just jealous as all hell of your award, and that you got to work on Avatar.................. not the mod thing)
 
In fact it would be dishonest to say that there isn't a substantial degree of luck involved...the trick is exploiting it effectively.

suddenly that coupon for a free box of mcnuggets that i was awarded today doesn't seem as impressive. :undecided
 
@Uga: Yeah, I'm ecstactic when the store counter girl miscounts the change and gives me back an extra quarter. I'm thinking, wow, if I had another 50 cents I could get another bottle of wine. lol.

But you have to hand it to Max. His resume/IMDB is non stop kick ass right down the line.

Even if you retired now Max , that's a hell of a sheet of bragging rights.
