-Guerilla35 Footage, Simply Amazing- (Link)

Don't let that compressed web version fool you, it's a scene off "Clemency." Go to the Clemency website if you want to see what this device is REALLY capable of.......

well the first clip looks booty
my letus 35 looks way better
but the trailer for Clemency looks pretty damn good

and it only seems like Marty Martin is threadjacking -- that first booty clip that Ill Eagle posted is clearly by Marty as it got one of the same actors in Clemency in it - Aaron Blakely , whom I know and have worked with a lot, lol -- small world, as well as some of the same footage.

Here's Aaron in in play I directed - haha:

ah the good ol' days
hes pretty damn good BTW
can't wait to see this movie based on the trailer and knowing Aarons work.

(oh and yes - that's the dude from shedin the tunic thing)

that's what I was pointing out -- that you didn't post it, but since its from your trailer then it's not thread jack for you to post the finished product -i.e., your trailer.

The first couple of posts after you put the trailer up, people were thinking that you jacked the thread.

yeah that sucks that somebody put up your scratchpad experimenting without your OK, but your trailetr looks kickass so no worries :thumbsups:

EDIT: Just looked at your trailer again - we both have Aaron in his underwear looking at photos in a dark room -- wierd.

My bad, I put it up. It was hosted on www.cinemek.com and it was demonstrating the grainless optic screen you can get with the G35. I don't know about the camera work because it's compressed and looks about 12fps, but that image is better than anything not Mini35 that I've seen.

There's a lot of footage shot with adapters that's showing plants and gates and backyards, but it was nice to see something actually shot professionally (like a scene).

yeah there's a lot of dogs in back yards and stuff

I should have my exp footage of the letus 35 up soon.

It does feature my dog, but at least its in the French Quarter

if theres one thing i really hate about 35mm adapters is that you have to zoom in so far...it really messes up hand held shots since the shaking is magnified

another thing is that working with real shallow dof makes filming things like action sequences difficult...

the image however does look great however, but theres a tradeoff

i built mike dawson's 35mm adapter but messed up the gg, so i paid him to make me one...waiting on that...

you should get it real soon. I mailed it about a week ago if you use a wide angle lens like a 28mm it will help those problems alot

By zooming your camera in, you in no way affect the steadiness of the shot. That is affected by how long your 35mm lens is. If you are using a 28mm film lens you shot will be much steadier than say a 150mm. Just like the real deal.

I don't know if I would say it's a trade off so much as it's like shooting 35mm. You really have to think things out. I strongly believe that there are projects that just aren’t right for use with 35mm adapters because focus is so hard to obtain in certain situations.

how long is the g35? with the mount on?

It extends 4.5" from the front of your camera lens to the end of the Nikon mount. More for PL less for EF.

I made my self an adapter thats 2'' but probley not opticly perfact like the g35

Yea, we've made some of those :) As with optics, there is always a trade off. We are going to be taking pre-orders in the next few days. Very soon :) Nice pic BTW:thumbsup:
