Guerilla Filmmaker: Stanley Kubrick

Check out this photo of Stanley Kubrick shooting his second movie, "Killer's Kiss".

Wow, look at the POS tripod his is using with his Arri 2B...

Kinda cool to know that he started where almost all of the aspiring filmmakers on this forum did, with a desire to make movies and a little bit of technical knowledge.

If you ever have a chance check out Fear and Desire. It's out there on bootleg. It's more inspiring than anything seeing how amateurish it is knowing Kubrick was going to go on to great things.

Yeah, I have a copy of Fear and Desire. Your right, it is inspiring. Even though it is rough, I still kinda dig it. In a lot of ways, Stanley out "new waved the new wave". Killers Kiss, even though it is also kinda rough also, has some very striking images.
