guerilla 35

really. is the guerilla vapourware ? I know its been discussed many times. I hate to see anyone wait forever for a real review / pics.

It's real. Check out some of the footage on their website and the newest footage in the DVX clips section. It's pretty awesome. They are working on getting the G35 into the machining process. Should be ready by fall from what I've read. Hope that helps.

for all I know, without seeing an actual product shot (is there one) can't the footage be from a mini35 or a redrockmicro35 ?

duh.

I'm a hopeless cynic and don't want to be rushed into buying a groundglass adaptor til I find one at the right price.

Don't be a cynic. I've used it. It's real. And it performs very, very well. Well, at least the beta-test version I used -- I'd expect the production models to be even better.

Hey Barry. You've used the redrockmicro as well, haven't you ? Which , do you think is more bang for your bucks then ?

Barry, would you be willing to do a side-by-side comparison of the Guerilla35 with the RedRock M2 (Micro35) and possibly also the Mini35? The M2 started shipping Monday and from what I've read on the Guerilla35 forums, the Guerilla35 has been finalized and the only holdup is sorting out the mass-manufacturing. I imagine it would be no problem for RedRock to provide you with an M2 now and I imagine H&H Optics will be able to provide you with a final version of the Guerilla35 very shortly - if not already. Somehow I doubt P+S Technik will let you borrow a Mini35 for a comparision to adapters around 1/10th of the price, so unless you know someone with a Mini35 or upcoming rental of one, then maybe it should be excluded from the comparison for the time being.

Certainly -- I've already stated interest in doing exactly that...

so unless you know someone with a Mini35
Ah, but I do... :)

If Redrock wants to get me an M2, and H&H wants to send a G35, I'd be glad to schedule a time. Hopefully we can get them all with the same lens mount so we can use the same lenses on all three...

The G35 is Real!

The G35 is Real!

The G-35 is REAL! Not Vaporware. I have one of them. It is actually a prototype. But it works beautifully and makes AWSOME footage. The finished product is supposed to be even better than the prototype. But the prototype was a professional as could be. I am very very pleased.

Hope that this helps.

As MovieMaker stated we are very alive and well. We have undergone some total restructuring in order to supply our clients with a fine product. We have approximately 15 units (pre-production) worldwide that are working on everything from commercials to EPK to documentaries. We rely on this feedback to fine tune our adapter so that it can meet the highest of standards. Updates on the production units will be along shortly. Please visit the FAQ on our website in the forums for more details. Thanks again!
