It will take a mixture of photoshop brushes and really, that's about it. Everything else is just a matter of rearranging text elements and the silhouette of your character.
I think what makes this poster so great is the composition of its elements. Also the font.
Giving the grunge treatment to everything is like icing on the cake. I think this would still be a great design, even without the grunge.
I'm a little slow on the uptake and thought those links would be your best answer. I see this Kyle guy adding an "opinion". Didn't know who he was, so I check his website.
I was blown away by his work. Great, professional stuff. Check out "we can". Everything in balance; makes your eye move around the space evenly and beautiful to look at.
Kyle...you're probably a busy guy, but some tuts from you would be appreciated by all. You certainly have a great skill. If nothing else, I think you should put a link to your website in your signature. It's worth the trip there.
Wow. Your words are so kind and much appreciated!
I would love nothing more than to provide some tutorials. Maybe when I find time I can try my best and recreate this exact poster?
Every project has it's own personal flare... and it would certainly be hard to IMPROVE upon this particular design, but I think it would be fun to make one ourselves.
I think recreating this poster is an excellent idea! It would help the OP and provide some good insights. After looking at it again, I see what you mean about it being good without the grundge as well. If you ever have the time, I think this would be very cool to see in a tutorial.
