Ground Glass...Thorlabs...Need Advise

I want to buy a ground glass from Thorlabs to experiment, but I'm not so sure which one is best. They talk on their site about "grit" 200, 600, 1500.
Which is better more grits or less grits?
By the way, what does this mean?
Has anyone ever used ground glasses from this lab? If so I would appreciate any suggestion. If there's any other place that I can get better ground glass, please, post it. In the end, I need your inputs...

Thank you

I have built an adapter using Thorlabs glass. Get two 1500 grit and sandwich them together, matte side facing in. The next step up (4000 grit I think) is too fine and the step down is too coarse. Grit number is how big the grinding material is; the bigger the number, the finer the grind. As you get up into those higher numbers, the matte becomes too translucent and doesn't diffuse enough. Too low of a number like 400, and you've got too coarse a focusing screen and grain and light loss will be an issue.

Thank you, funkbomb... do you have any footage taken with that that I can see?
I'll welcome any other comment or input.

Thanks
