Ground Glass that comes with Redrock M2 DIY guide...

How good is the ground glass? Is it necessary to buy a higher quality gg? If so, what do you guys recommend?
 
When I contacted them (a long time ago) I was told that the ground glass sold with the DIY kit is the older version and not the new cinescreen. It seems that the cinescreen is reserved as a replacement for current M2 owners. Oh, and from what I understand both the old one and the cinescreen are plastic (not that it matters if the images are great).
