Your a young antelope lying in the tall grass when A Grizzly storms the herd. Instinct tells you to lie still, hoping the beast will pass. But when he gets closer, fear overcomes instinct, and you lose your nerve and bolt. The giant monster moves fast for it's size and you can feel it gaining on you. You start to feel a burning in your underdeveloped lungs.
Out of desperation you try to jump a felled tree but you get all entangled in the branches. Your leg is broken, sticking off at a weird angle but it doesn't hurt because shock has set in and your little fawn heart is clipping along at about 200 bpm.
And you can hear the bear taking it's time now, methodically snapping the branches around you, decluttering his meal area. And you smell it's breath before it takes your head in it's mouth. And you hear your skull crunch but again, there's no pain. And the last thing you think to yourself before the lights go out is this, "At least I didn't go out like a chump eating the wrong berries or something, cuz that would be emberrassing."
