Hi,

My name is Mike and I expect I'd be more on the 'old fart' end of the community.
I am late to filmmaking though the years I have spent as a professional photographer are probably not completely wasted.
Digital has all but destroyed my career and so I have finally completely abandoned it. On the other hand, I see the development in filmmaking as having been positive in the same ways that it has been negative to photography. Basically I still see an 'upper level' to work towards in fimmaking. There is enough to it for it still to be a minority 'club'.
I found an old but really mint GH1 and bought it after having read up on the patches (It's totally awesome). I'm putting a shooting kit together and hope to spend some time putting together small projects, with no great goals in mind, to get some experience over the rest of this year.
I'm here to glean as much as I can.

Hallo Mike, I know how you feel about digital, I kinda feel the same way (not that it ruined my non-existing career, but it certainly is not far enough to compete with celluloid) ;P Viele liebe Gruesse nach Muenchen.
