Greenscreen and using camera on its side?

I've seen this written before but I've never tried it. If I was shooting just one person (head to toe) and there was little movement would it make sense to turn the camera on its side and then reorient in post?
 
The aspect ratio of the image would be wrong. Video is wider than it is tall. If you rotate it you'd have to zoom in or put black bars.
 
You are correct. Ultra had this feature and it worked great. You could shoot someone with the camera turned sideways and it would turn the image 90 degrees for you so you could composite the image with their virtual sets. Unfortunately Adobe bought Serious Magic, who were just about about to release a set of tools for making your own virtual sets with tracking moves, and killed the entire product line.

Remember Adobe is an engineering company full of propeller heads and a product like Ultra was just way too cool.

Not since he's talking about green screen. There will be no image but the person and it will be person shaped. It's pretty smart. Shoot horizontal and throw away 80 or 90 percent of the image for a head-to-to or shoot vertical and throw away 20 or 30 percent with more resolution.
 
ah, I see what you mean - so long as you're shooting something taller than it is wide, 'side-shooting' does indeed make sense when greenscreening :)
