I've just been asked to submit a bid for green screen keying over 50 minutes of 4k footage shot on the A7S II for an indie film. I've never bid on VFX before, so I don't really have any reference on a price point. The company does have money, so it won't be pro-bono / exposure crap, but they aren't flooded with it either. Any help on a good rate?
They want a flat rate, and I've seen and played with the footage, and also was apart of helping shooting it at times, and estimate it will take me about 3 weeks with 10-12 hour days. Some of the footage will require some seriously heavy rotoscoping and upscaling/dithering to get a clean key, other stuff will key in minutes.
