Green screen

Hi Everyone

Looked at alot of forums on this one, but wanted to know what I need for a green screen shoot for the HVX-200. As many of you know lighting can be a problem and wanted to pick anyone's brain about how to do this?
The setup is in a warehouse with Flouro overheads. Could anyone give me an idea of light positioning and what lights I would need also fabric green sheet from IKEA? Or painted background?

Thanks in advance

Fabric is more versatile, paint is more consistent. Light the background and the subject separately to make sure there are no shadows and perfectly even light on the screen. To do this, put as much distance as possible between the two.

Here is my native MXF file from HVX 200a with fabric green screen. http://www.filefactory.com/file/ah429cc/n/0003G2.rar
One front big softbox fill light, one contour backlight, two leaft-right contour lights. Scheme for bright day light background.
It was shot with Lastolite. Not so bad. More cheaper than professional but enought quality.
Here are some examples with different chrome key and light schemes. Professioanl quality fabric chroma key and in the big stage was painted with non professioanl Tikkurila blue paint. With Tikkurila I had some problems then. Some purple tone in the highlights.

Green screen fabric is so versatile as stated above. Use the actual green thread green screens rather than the dyed ones. I have used both material and paint. Green screen paint on extremely smooth drywall is magnificient. If you sand your mud between panels really well you can count on a very smooth green screen that makes lighting on it a pleasure. We mount the drywall on board first to keep it strong against bumps by actors and crew, tape it, mud it, and then paint it with 2 coats.

Light the screen with 6500K daylight lights and it keys really well. Also... (lol if you can...) use a RED ONE camera for your shots as they are daylight balanced. We used that on our effects shoot and the 4K with Keylight in Aftercffects CS4 and it was a dream. HVX200 or HPX170 work well also. Go to the STRICKEN thread in Userfilms and look at some of our keys and at the green screen shoot nights.

They thing we loved about Keylight is its automatic ability to change the color of any spill to whatever color you want. It really saved us as our keyed actors were in white costumes right next to the screen 2 stories up on a wall on harnesses!

Have fun with your green screen shoot. It is really fun. :Drogar-Happy(DBG):
