Green Screen Workflow Question

Hey everyone,

I'm putting together a quick 60-second promo using some green screen footage of a spokesperson. Knowing I'll want to build some cool text and backgrounds into the footage using Motion, what's the best workflow?

A. In FCP do the keying and color correction, then bring clips into Motion to manipulate?

B. Don't use Final Cut, and do everything in Motion, including the keying.

Just wondering if since this is such a short project (60 sec runtime), I should just do it directly in Motion. Thanks!
 
If you're only wanting to key in FCP and do all your editing in Motion, do the whole thing in Motion. Keyer (Primatte) is much better than FCP's built-in keyer. You'll have much more freedom to tweak and such if you're keeping it all in one program too.
