Green screen window on set???

Hi,

I am wondering if i want to green screen a window of a set so that i can insert a outside view in post production. How do i go about it, do i leave the glass in or not? What about mimicking the light that hits actors and the window pain and inside of the room that would be coming from the window? what about reflections from the inside of the apartment and from actor? What if i want to move the camera? Is that at all possible, that is without some elaborate motion tracking system? How are windows usually solved on sets?

thanks for any insight you can offer

Last time we did it we removed the glass. We had dedicated 2ks per window for incoming light. And we put tracking markers on the GS for comping with camera moves.

Hi thanks for your reply. Just to clarify you put tracking marks on the GS, but if you are shooting with a lens adaptor the green-screen will probably be out of focus. How would you deal with that? With tracking marks i guess you you just mean placing some kind of dots on the GR. Is it important what size or color they are or could you just use anything? How many dots do you need? Should some be placed on the wall next to window for times when actor obscures the marks on GS? Does anyone know a tutorial that deal specifically with this kind of GS work?
