Green Screen Lighting?

First off I made a make shift greenscreen out of some poster board i bought at a department store. I'm not sure if it is the exact color. When i create a green screen for "The Movies" in Photoshop i set G: = 255 and R,B to 0 and the color i saw on the screen is more of a lime green or a neon green. Which the poster board basically resembles. But when i green screen the footage in Vages i have a tinted square(the video screen basically) around the stuff io want to appear and i cant figure out if it is because of the lighting or because my green screen isn't exact...My green screen is small($ posterboards taped together) and the project is going to kinda be like a lego movie where there will be movement of objects, but i dont want to do still to still action.so i guess here is my question...

When you use a green screen for smaller projects what kid of lightning do you use(i was going to buy like a desk lamp and shine it down on the screen since it's on the floor) No i dont have a lighting setup...so something cheap and practical.

Is my green screen wrong...if so where can i get the correct color

And where can i get some gloves that would allow me to move my characters while recording and remove that out as well(green gloves i guess....)

I know i have a lot of questions...sorry :) - im a rookie real life film maker.

The color of the screen doesn't really matter. You're going to want to light your screen as evenly as possible. Fluorescents work really well for things like this (even cheap hardware store fluorescents, as long as they don't flicker).

I have been helping Walter Graff work on his latest DVD on making a greenscreen these last few weeks and it's been a blast. He is showing how greenscreen is done from concept to edit. This is a real commercial he shot last week. I've been shooting behind the scenes with my DVX. First I shot him as he set up the screen. He shows everything he does lighting it. Then the next day I shot him directing the talent for the commercial. Next week I am shooting him as he sits down to edit the spot showing all the techniques he uses. It's a cool Apple computer-type spot with lots of elements moving around the greenscreen and a hot actress is the main talent. We taped the entire process and it's been an incredible learning process for me. I especially like how he debunks all the myths of greenscreen. Graff has let me cover lots of events with him and it's like working with a Jedi Master. :) Last week he invited me to his producers seminar. There are no words to describe how incredible it was learning how to produce everything from corporate videos to commercials from someone with his experience. He thinks his greenscreen DVD will set the standard for teaching greenscreen. I know it taught me stuff I've never seen anywhere else. He says it will be released in November.
