Great Movies - Seldom Seen

One of my favorite movies, with a message of encouragement to follow your dreams.... Mule Skinner Blues

a very short review

These people were my physical neighbors for many years, I'd see them in the grocery store, or at the corner gas station. The locations were all in my neighborhood. And I always come away from watching this with the feeling that I will never give up.

Last Life in the Universe. Great drama/dark comedy as long as you don't mind reading subtitles (or are fluent in Thai, Japanese, and....um...English..). 6ixty9ine is another good dark comedy from the same director.

Jesus' Son, rented and no like. Turned it off after too much boring dialogue.

A previous reply suggested Fresh and I second that. Great film. I didn't expect it to be so good. Crooklyn is also very good.

I like most of Spike Lee's stuff, but Bamboozled which was made on mini-dv if I'm correct was really bad. I watched the whole thing waiting for it to get good and well it only got worse. Too bad because he had a great cast to work with.

I've got a lot of films stuck in my head from waaaaaaaay back when. I think they are good films, and the ones I've re-seen recently confirm my thought, but... One that's in there that I haven't been able to find is Soldier In The Rain, 1963 with Jackie Gleason & Steve McQueen.

Anyone else see it? Is it as good as I think I remember it?

how about jackie in a movie where he plays a mute and befriends a lil girl ,teaR jerker was it italian flick .....very underated actor

I'm glad Fresh was mentioned. I loved this film. Way underrated.

A fun goofy movie that nobody seems to ever talk about is "Let It Ride" with Richard Dreyfuss. David Johansen (NY Dolls/Buster Poindexter fame) is funny as **** as Dreyfuss's loser friend. Put this in your Netflix que. It's a good time.
