Is an ATI x600XT good enough for working with Motion. It's what is in my Imac and I don't know if I can upgrade if I didn't have it customed ordered in the first place.

That card should work, albeit not the best choice, but what you really need in addition is RAM. Unfortunately the iMacs max in RAM is 2GB so you are limited there. This also sounds like a new Intel iMac, and if that is the case you'll have to wait for the Pro Apps crossgrade until you can run Motion natively. Running Motion under Rosetta probably won't be the best of ideas.

Yeah that card will work. My Power Mac has the 6600 LE version and I do fine for a lot of things.
