Put this on facebook, but thought I'd run her up the dvx flag pole as well.

Lookin' to hire a graphic artist / photoshopster for a new web design. Long story, but my site went down and its content, alas, was unretrievable. Maybe the cyber gods that be are trying to tell me to piss off of the "flash" page stuff. Wanna go simpler this time around. I mainly need a wee handful of elements created.

I don't have the biggest of budgets, but it is a paying gig.

Anyone down for it?

RIGHT-BRAINER ALERT!

I don't know, but I can find out. I have hosting through register dot com. My designer did a flash site last time round...gonna have him go a different route this time.

I've gotten a couple a' three hits, but so as not to be repetitive, let me spell out what I'm looking for here...

I do have a designer already, but he is not an artist.
So, what I need are the graphics themselves designed.
Namely, I need a "hard-boiled detective door"...you know the type:
private-eye-door.jpg

...but with "my" shadow "behind" it, smoking a cigar; typing on a typewriter.
(w/ lettering of "CHAD CALLAGHAN, WORDSLINGER")
I want to incorporate this as the main background to the site.
Even though I am getting away from flash, I would love some minor aspects to be animated
(even if it is as subtile as a "push-in").
Also, an overall b & w "feel", but not full-on monochrome (and def some color on the business end of the cigar, to make it pop)

Ideally I can commission someone to get this main graphic done,
get it to the designer...
then come back to said artist over the next few weeks for additional "spin-off" graphics.

By all means, send me a time and price schedule via PM or to cal@chadcallaghan.com.

Edit: My original site, for s*%ts and giggles: http://web.archive.org/web/20120104023612/http://chadcallaghan.com/

Edit2: Maybe I should just steal some stuff from Jimerson:evil:
