Opinions:

I have Nattress filters but have never used Magic Bullet. Is one better then the other? Reason why I'm asking is because I'm interested in buying a camera from someone that does not have the magic bullet nor the dvx book/dvd....

I have both. I use Nattress 90% of the time. The presets are a little different but Magic Bullet takes forever to render on some things. Nattress is faster. I needed to simulate an old film look and definitely liked Nattress more. It had more control and rendered in a fraction of the time. I had Magic Bullet first. (It came with my DVX) But I bought Nattress because it could basically do the same things and it was faster rendering. If I had the Nattress filters, I wouldn't personally bother getting Magic Bullet. But that's me, others my have a different opinion. Hope that helps some.
