Gradiants/Blurred edges in Title Designer?

Hi folks;

I hope someone can help me figure this out. I'm working to create lower-thirds in the Title Designer in PPro, and I'm trying to figure out how the heck to get the gradiant or a blurry edge that goes to Opacity=0?

If I put an inner or outer edge on the rectangle, and then use radiant to opacity=0, it gives me a very small edge, I'm trying to figure out how do you put VERY LONG edges that trail to invisible as the following example:

The best thing to do is to make the lower thirds in photoshop and then import them to PP. Premiere isnt made to handle more than basic effects so just do thim in PS.

If you really want something like that, do it in After effects and then export it to premiere.
