Installed Vegas Vegas Pro-11 upgrade and checked out the onboard Help File contents.

The "What's New" page first off displays"GPU" information relating to both ATI and NVIDIA cards.

Back at "Contents" scroll down to "Customization"..."Preferences"..."Video" for more detailed information.

If you open Pro-11 and go to "Options"..."Preferences"..."Video" tab, part ways down is the GPU control.
It defaults to "Off" and if no options are displayed, your card is not acceleration capable. On the other hand,
if the drop down offers options, you are in luck and can control GPU from here.

...........this is what the first part of the Help file pointed out:

What's new in version 11.0
Video

GPU-accelerated video processing.
NVIDIA GPUs
GPU-accelerated AVC rendering requires an OpenCL-enabled GPU and NVIDIA driver 270.xx or later with a GeForce GT 2xx Series or higher GPU with 512 MB or more RAM.

ATI GPUs
OpenCL GPU-accelerated rendering requires an OpenCL-enabled ATI GPU and AMD Radeon Catalyst driver 11.7 or later with an ATI Radeon HD 57xx or higher GPU with 512 MB or more RAM. If using an ATI FirePro GPU, FirePro unified driver 8.773 or later is required......

I also downloaded the pdf manual from Sony's website with the idea of printing it out, but at 500 plus pages, I think not!

Thought you might like to know.

Regards,
Rob.
