Got to Play with the Cinevate Hedron Slider Today

Yes, I wouldn't be looking to use more than the shorter variation center mounted on a single tripod. More than 24" gets unwieldy very quickly anyways. I'm trying to upgrade/crossgrade from a Digital Juice 40" Slyder Dolly, which is quite sturdy, but not particularly smooth, precise or suitable for run 'n gun situations. It's good to hear that someone is using the Shark with a FS700 combo and a heavy-duty video head, I think I'll be more than fine 95% of the time with my C100 setup. If there comes a situation where I need to support more, I can aways dust off the Slyder Dolly.

Well, I think you talked me into it - as nice as the Cinevate Hedron is, especially with their flywheel add-on, the weight and size are holding me back. Maybe if I was running a 20-pound Red Epic rig it would make more sense. So, Shark Slider it is! Thanks everyone for your input.

For some strange reason Cinevate charges double for the one with the flywheel...... go figure! Perhaps they miss calculated, and didn't figure slider geniuses like you into the equation.
What's your age again?

@Nate Please let us know how the Shark slider works out for you!

Nate, as a matter of fact I'm going to do a video tonight with the slider with extensions and the C100...... I'll post the video later as well as a photo of the C100 with the Blade on the Shark, and give a full report.

Nate here are some photos, after this I realize I need a better base plate on the C100. it was off balance but still worked good. The Shark performed great though. Any recommendations for a good base plate?

Arrived today and so far I am very impressed with the Shark. Build quality is top notch and the slider moves with the counterweight are oh-so-buttery-smooth! Strength seems adequate for my uses. The size and weight are also more substantial than I expected. This is definitly capable of moving more than just a DSLR. Looking forward to bringing this one out into the field this weekend.
