I don't know. What is your life worth? A phone, property, a country?

//ahhh, let me say it another way. Terrorism does not stop at you know what.
It's here, its us, like with robbie getting robbed. I honestly can't see the lack of fight in people.
Sorry.
When I get robbed by a terrorist I'll let you know.

When someone's trying to get into a cabin of a plane I'm on, yeah fine, take on his AK 47 with a fork, that makes sense.

But I'm not getting beaten or shot and risk jeapordizing my dreams - I've got a feature to make damnit - not to mention what it would do to my Mom (since you mentioned being single, spouses and kids aren't the only ones who need / are affected by you), or my GF , sister, what have you.

You wan't my wallet? Take it.

You want't my laptop with the only draft of a feature on it? Maybe we have to talk.

You wan't to take over the plane I'm in? Over my dead body.

It's not a lack of fight. It's an abundance of brains, and not having my ego tied up in two guys taking my wallet.

Life is not an audition for a Steven Segal movie.

it's hard to tell what you would do in a situation like this until you're in it. the closest i've come to a physical altercation was in a parking garage. i was having a conversation on my cell phone and some guy came up on me asking for a ride. i told him no, but he kept following me to my car walking right next to me asking why i wouldn't give him a ride. it was obvious he was on drugs. fortunately as i got to my car, another vehicle started coming down the ramp. i told him to go ask that person and he ran out in front of the approaching car, allowing me the opportunity to get in mine and take off. it was scary because it was to the point where i was about to have to tackle this guy to get him off me so i could get away.

You guys crack me up. Anyways, I'm back to bed. Yep, I'm on -negative- time. 4am = 4pm ect.

I got "ran on" once and had to fight 2 dudes by myself in high school. My so called friend just took off and left me there. I bit the sh1t out of the first guy when he put me in a head lock and managed to get the other guy down and hit him with a garbage can....then I ran.

Ahhhhhhhhhh.. The Glory Days

My buddy and I was got jumped in 11th Grade by 5 dudes. We kicked their ass and got arrested. (We stole their girlfriends)

My other Ex-Friend mouthed off to two dudes in Tijuana once, drunk as a skunk we were. I ended up fending off two dudes wanting to kill him. No real winners or losers, I held my ground, we exchanged some blows and that was that.

After getting me in a scuff more than once for his obnoxious drunken behaviour, I termed that friendship years ago.

Then there was the time I was Repo'ing a 360ZX and some Vietnamese dude put a .357 to my noggin. That was fun.

And then there was the time I had 6 S.D.P.D. pull me ocer with shotguns and 9mm in rush hour traffic (Repo story)

Key the Bruce Springsteen song now.

If only it were, nothing like a good knife fight.

Dude, that is crazy ****. I'd probably **** myself if someone pulled a gun on me, let alone a .357.

Those are some crazy stories from you CA boys.

apparently the guy that approached me at the parking garage has a youtube video.

I feel bad for the people in the car, but that was some funny ****, he went off on that car.

Besides, you kick his ass and you're probably the one going to jail. Isn't that how it always works?

No, that's not how it ALWAYS works. Depends on where you live. You DO have the right to fight back if you feel you are in danger. At least where I live you do.

It also works the same in Canada.

Is it true that in Texas you have the right to shoot someone if they just walk onto your property?

And we're discussing this why? Looking at the top of the forum, we ask people to "Please keep it civil, upbeat and friendly".

I think this thread has managed to defy all three in one fell swoop.
