No need to apologize -- I just don't want anyone thinking that the 100 is an obsolete machine (Decius?), when it's 98% as cutting-edge as the 100A. Remember, the 100A is the 100A and not the 200 . . .

..it is a good point david
..despite all the "tech envy" for the 100A .. its really the same thing as the 100, and i have yet to see anything more impressive than whats been made on the 100 from it. .. i doubt i ever will.. but of course , i personally woulndt mind having one over the 100

It has a couple more tools, which would be nice to have, but nothing that’s a must-have, IMHO.

About the time I purchased my DVX I had the foresight (knowledge) that the 'A' was coming 4 months later. I decided at the time that there was no make or break feature that
1. I was going to wait for
2. Justified the extra cost (at the time)
I'm content with my decision and have realized (as most of us) that it is the filmaker and NOT the camera that will stun.

I would have loved to keep my old dvx if i could afford to get 2. I figure the original will be a collectors item someday.
