tony404 you are welcome!

Thanks for choosing to do business with us, sir.

I am going to be buying a DVX100A in the next week or so and I was wondering what kind of accesories I am going to need. I am a film student and we are going to be making several short films and I kind of need some help on what to buy. One of my main concerns is sound, so if anyone can help me on that and other accessories I need I would appreciate it.

I'm in the same boat here. About to buy my first DVX100a camera and I was wondering what should I get to enhance my camera experience.

Thanks!

Hi guys, you can do a search for some killer detailed lists. But just to start you out, basically you will need a UV filter, case, shotgun microphone, extra battery, LCD overlay, tripod, on camera light, light kit, matte box, creative filters. Depending on your budget, you can get some or all of these things; they are by no means required, but each one enhances your production quality. Most people start, with just the camera, a UV filter, a case, and a better shotgun mic then what comes with the camera. Then you can enhance the package later on, as you get more paying gigs. I can help you with any of these items, if you'd like, you can write to me at rush@evsonline.com . Best of luck!

I would save up first for the best tripod you can get, thats gotta be #1 on the list after you take care of your sound. And dont forget the batteries.
