Charli
cool little "title"
I haven't published an article since the 80s (and they paid more then) and finally after joining 3 freelance writing sites I've got my first article published:
http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-give-a-man-hug
So what are the same principles of article writing and screenplays? Structure. Use strong verbs, be concise, be clear in what you're trying to convey and articles help hone in your skills with word usage.
Some freelance writers I know are making $2k a month. It's all about finding your niche. I've written two other articles http://www.mahalo.com/amy-grant and
http://www.mahalo.com/michael-w-smith - my passion is the entertainment
industry so I focus on those areas.
Man Hugs, well, I love hugs, heh. I also have an article to be published at Man Made site on hotels, my area of full of a wealth of knowledge.
So when writing a script, at the beginning stick to what you know, what you're
passionate about and don't write genres you don't like just because that's
what's selling.
Be true to your writing, no matter the format.
