Gorillapod + Wheels = Dolly?

Hey,

Has anyone ever investigated how to get wheels onto a Gorilapod for ghetto dolly moves?

The issue is the base of the legs are wheels so it either a) needs to be clamped onto some wheels or b) need to wrap around something that then moves.

The first option seems the most versatile.

I was checking out skateboard parts, specifically skateboard trucks, which the metal baseplate that sits under the deck, the wooden bit, and connects to the wheels. I was wondering if a single truck, which has space for two wheels either side might work.

For example something like this - http://www.skateasylum.co.uk/acatalog/enuff-dface-skateboard-trucks.html - could work where you buy two wheels for the end, wrap two Gorillapod legs around the metal space next to the wheels, and the third leg sitting on the truck (flipped the other way up than in the link naturally).

That'd give you a pretty stable system I think, maybe combined with one of those skateboard wheel follow focus things it could be a useful mini-system.

I might check out a skateboard shop tomorrow and see if there's anything that can work.

Anyone else tried this and have any thoughts on it?
