Google Wave for collaborative writing?

how cool would it be, if we had an open source screenplay community where people can group up to create free scripts which can be used by anybody to create their 'own version' of a similar story in a different venue, time and culture!

Interesting concept. Sort of like Charles Dickens stories-- expired copyright on the stories, so anybody can use those stories to make a film in their own vision, actors, venues, updated to modern times, etc. Could help film students in college, etc. if they were not into screenwriting but were more into directing, producing, etc.

I'm going to suggest that my development partners have a look at this. Maybe we'll use our current project as a test-case.

This looks like the future. Whatever you use it for, any project will be perfect for this.

Would be cool to have something with DVXuser.com just not sure how it would work exactly.

I watched this yesterday. beyond project specific applications, I can see a lot of value in this becoming a standard for online communities of filmmakers looking to share ideas and data, collaborate, mobilize, etc. it is also open source so you can customize it and host it on your own server.
