Google Pixel 2 reviewed: Sets new record for overall smartphone camera quality

Now that industrial design differentiation is starting to taper off in devices (it's a slab of metal.. with a screen...) I think Apple's lead here is deteriorating. And in recent years Google has been the more innovative company, for sure.

The overall integration of iPhone is a large hurdle, but I am very much looking forward to the next few years in smartphones as I think things will be more competitive than ever.

I personally felt underwhelmed by Apple's product launches this fall, and for the first time ever am considering skipping a generation of iPhone.

The Google VS Apple battle should be one that spurs on a lot of innovation in the next few years, I think - more than ever.

The iPhone 8 and X still look like the only smartphones with 4K at 24/30/60fps and 1080p slo-mo at 240fps.
