Good starting point for my light kit question

I was wondering if anyone has used the Photoflex Starlite 500W Soft box light? I am gradually building up my video gear and am thinking this would be a good place to start. Do you think this would be the most flexible light to have or is there a better light to purchase? I do mostly ENG type work.

The Photoflex is a nice Piece, but it's not very portable. The lamps are very large and stick out of the fixture (inide the softbox), so you would have to unscrew them everytime you teke them somewhere. An easier alternative, even that a little heavier would be a 650 Fresnel or open face with an attachable softbox (A fresnel would give you more alternatives of use without the softbox). You can find alternatives for that but I think Rostronics offer them for less than 200 bucks, really hard to beat. Also, the Photoflex canot be used without the softbox, so it is less versatile.
