Good shotgun mic for DVX100A

[Guest]

Hey guys,

Can someone please give me some recommendations on a good shotgun mic to get for the DVX100A. I want to use it for some production and broadcast quality work and have about a $700 budget.

Thanks.

Sennheisser ME66 about $400.00 or the AT4073a about $550.00 or even the newAT897at $299.00! Depending on how you are going to use it. I've been leaning to the AT4073a! 8)

yeah i've been thinking about the AT4073A as well but haven't been able to find it for less than $675 and it's going for $850 at B&H photo...

do you know where it's selling for $550? i'd defiinitely like to snag it if that's really the price i could get it for.

thanks for the input
