Good RAM for Macs?

Someone on the Apple Boards recommened MacSales.com for RAM upgrades and I have to say the price looks good. Just wondering if anyone else has bought from them.

I just did some searching on this board and macsales.com was mentioned several times as a good source, didn't see any negative mentions (though I didn't look through them all)

You're right, the prices for RAM are really good, I'm glad you posted this.

I have ordered several things from them and had no problems, so when I do finally get that 8 core mac pro I will definitely be ordering my RAM through them.

If it matters.... I have a dual-2.5 G5; recently added memory (and some other stuff) and then tracked down system problems to be caused by the memory. It was Crucial Ballistix, which checked out well in all tests, but seems to have been causing random freezes. I think the issue may have to do with mixing memory types; the Ballistix have lower latency spec than the Apple OEM RAM I have in the other slots... since the exact same Crucial RAM is highly rated and suggested for the G5, I suspect matching may be an issue!

I have the regular Crucial ram in my Dual 1.8Ghz G5, and never had any problems with it, it's worked great. If anything just get the normal Crucial memory, not the ballistix one. (to avoid problems like above)

i've always ordered from crucial.com and datamem.com... I have both in my Dual 2.5ghz G5 and have never had any problems.

i just ebay'd 2gb for my Mac Pro, 190 bucks , came in the mail in 2 days, has the full apple approved heatsinks.

works great
