Good Raid Setup

I have owned the HVX-200 for a little over a month now and have mostly shot footage of corporate events. I have recorded meetings, group events, etc... in excess of 3 plus hours. I have realized how much of a problem space is going to be with this camera. I have already filled up a 500 gig drive and have just purchased a new raid setup simply for space reasons. I am just wondering if anyone has any expirence with the following setup:
I am currently running a Quad G5 OSX 10.4.6 FCP 5.1.1 with 1 250 gig startup volume and 1 500 gig internal hard drive.

Thanks for any comments.

I'm Running an 8 Barracuda SATA off a Highpoint RocketRAID 2320 on my Quad with RAID 5. Gives me 420MB Read and 350MB or so write speed. Very Quite. Cases from FirmTek.

The Sonnet cards have been very good to me (one tip though, always make sure you've updated whatever card you have with the latest firmware). As far as hard drives, if you're going to be putting them through a lot of use, drives like the Western Digital RE2 series are designed for 100% duty cycle and also have a 5 Year warranty like the Seagate Barracudas (also a good choice). In terms of software for RAID-1 and RAID-0 volumes, I'm very pleased with SoftRAID. Hardware RAID is great, but when low-cost and bang-for-the-buck are factors, SoftRAID is a good performer.
