Of course you can do that with Illusion. True, you will need to understand AE maybe a little more, but it's easy to take even an animated mask. Illusions fire looks a hell of a lot better than most Ive seen.

There used be a tutorial at Creative Cow that showed how to burn some paper Bonanza style use fractal's...might wanna search for that. You can also animate some stills with liguify or mesh wrap, but that is a bit time consuming.

OK I watched the demo video in the link and it looked nice... until the end where he used the CC Burn film plugin along with his fire... wow that was realistc enough!!

Thanks Dean Velez!
The panopticum plugin was registered as far as i know. There was no mentioning anything about white lines in demo mode. Its more like a plugin bug. The burn tuto on the cow is prehistoric! i already checked it out... it takes like hours to get it done. I guess using PI and making fire a line emitter and then animating it would do the job... im just lazy and wanted inmediate results

I've heard absolutely nothing but bad news about Panopticum lately. Buggy software, no support, etc. Too bad.. they had some good stuff.

Send me your poject file, if you want. I can build something with Illusion that'll get the job done. Doesn't have to be linear either.

Iall I need to know is the timing of the transition.

Thanks Rapier!
You are a total gentleman!!
Its basically a photoshop text that says "San Joan 2006"
(San Joan is Barcelona's 4th of july) and that burns away bottom to top as underneath a logo of a hotel appears
