What are some good places to hold auditions?

I've used Community Theatres and Public Libraries as well as rented office space. Avoid bars or night clubs.

I've used local community theaters as well.

They usually have a good space and actors are comfortable auditioning there.

Libraries and community centers are free. I've also rented hotel meeting rooms.

Do most libraries have seperate rooms you can use?

Some do and some do not. However, most main municipal libraries will have some rooms available. It is the local branch libraries that are usually short on space.

I used a University classroom I got for free.

Worked well.

I used a local church. So many churches sit empty most days of the week, so it worked out nicely.
