there is a new diversity receiver coming from lectro which replace the 201 .
this one will allow you working with all the lectro transmitters 100,200,400,ifb and senheiser or shure one as well ( same block and fq). the receiver will run about 8 hours on 2 rechargeables AA or more with lithium or will allow you working 4 hours with regullar alkalines .
external powering could be anything from 5 to 20v, what is quit important since you will be able to power the receivers with your camcorder battery ( what was problematic until now since lectro where 10-18 v ext powering only).
i already sow sony stile batteries which have external dc out for benefit of 7v led sun gun (that's Italian company so the products really not cheap) but as we know good stuff find its way to be mock upped by the Chin's very fast and this is probably will be in the next year .( good as well power your other gear as sd mixers or everything that runs from 6v)
the power consumption of the unit is about 1w per hour ( the dvx is about 10 times more) so the running time of the camera would fall only for 10 %.
its look like with lm transmitter the cost of the unit would be around 1500 which is quit low for the performance in these standards.
the unit is already in tests and would hit the market in the beginning of the next year .
another one that lectro will show is a quarter Watt ( 250mw) tx for extra long distances .that one would be a little bit more bigger then the sm . it will run from 2 AA batteries - the range would be as with um 250 transmitters . ( the sennheiser g-2 is 30 MW so it would give you about 300% for the range in normal conditions about 400-500 feet )

Thisiswells - say hello to Sharas if you are going to mick him somewhere ( from Macabi fan).
about lectro new products - there are many more nice stuff coming but unfortunately i was asked not to declare , so wait for the nab
and Jarred , this is the time to make new panasonic dvx battery :-)

See, Wabbit? Where did you hear it first? Seven months ago! (gloats...)
Never doubted you for a second Wells. In fact, I did wait on my purchase because of your info. If you ever in Seattle I will buy you a beer  ...maybe two. :)
